Assessing the March 2024 Pakistan Airstrikes in Afghanistan

This Essay assesses Pakistan's evolving strategy towards Afghanistan, characterized by increased coercion, stringent border controls, and plans to repatriate one million documented Afghans. Additionally, it explores the potential for regional collaboration, particularly with China, emphasizing China's role in exerting diplomatic pressure on Kabul and mediating with the Afghan Taliban. This analysis highlights the complex geopolitical dynamics and strategic considerations influencing Pakistan's actions.
